The Butler County Health Department is administering the first live, attenuated intranasal (LAIV) H1N1 vaccines, a nasal spray, to health care workers aged 49 and younger at Princeton Pike Church of God on Friday, Oct. 16. The department has received 8,300 doses and expects more to come in the next few weeks.

Thousands of people attend the I Am The Voice of America Freedom Rally hosted by the Cincinnati Tea Party and held at Voice of America Park in West Chester on Saturday, September 5, where they cheered speakers who railed against President Barack Obama's policies. Hundreds of handmade signs blasted Obama's and the government on such positions as health care, the stimulus, cash for clunkers, and others. Many signs also equated Obama and the government as Marxists, Communists and Socialists.

A funeral mass for Sen. Robert Schuler was held Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Montgomery. Schuler, who represented all of Warren County and parts of Hamilton County, died Friday night after a long battle with cancer at 66.
